Dr. Jon Congdon
Dr. Jon Congdon has traveled the country pursuing his passions in Veterinary Medicine. From his undergraduate years at the University of Connecticut (BS in Pathobiology 1996) to many years at Colorado State University (MS in Anatomy 2001, DVM 2006, Residency in Anesthesia & Analgesia 2011 and Masters in Clinical Sciences 2011), he has criss-crossed the country following his interests in both private practice (WVRC, Waukesha, WI 2011-2018) and academic practice. Since 2018 he has been the Director of the North Carolina State Veterinary MRI Service, a stand-alone imaging service, at the North Carolina State College of Veterinary Medicine. He is an enthusiastic teacher, always attempting to take complicated physiology, pharmacology and cutting-edge anesthesia practice and make it accessible to veterinary assistants, technicians, veterinarians of all stripes, House Officers and fellow Specialists. He brings a wealth of teaching experience in the GP, Specialty and Academic setting. While not filling up an eight-foot-long white board with drawings, you can find him in the woods mountain biking and running, or spoiling his pittie and Sphynx cat. He is excited to join the speakers at Gotta Vetaway.
